Our resort is located in a small & serene village - Karjan, surrounded by apple orchards, fields and Pine & Devdar forest. Looking at the character of our property & keeping the surrounding noise-free & in its purest form, playing music, partying & shouting are strictly not allowed at ShivAdya.
ShivAdya has been chiseled out by hands as much as possible using local materials as mud, stone & wood. To retain the originality of traditional-handmade thing is a challenging task. We request you not to harm any of ShivAdya`s property & treat this boutique property as a child who continuously demands care & nourishment.
All rooms have a private balcony space based on local design. Also we have a very nice balcony (an open sit out area in Taala Restaurant floor facing Devdar jungle on side & Dhauladhar Mountains on another side). However please note; our top floor rooms and Taala restaurant are very high from ground. Guests need to take care of themselves while venturing out from the balcony and especially be very cautious with kids in order to avoid any incident.
Taala restaurant as a concept does not have any menu (a restaurant without menu) and care is taken to prepare fresh meals only. It is operationally not possible for us to provide a 20 minute meal service hence it is requested to all the guests, please place an order for lunch or dinner in the morning. Our service staff would approach you for an order every morning.
Because of eco-system in mountains, we do not have central air condition system. In summers if temperature or humidity is high, we provide pedestal fans and in winters we place convection heaters in each room. In case item is not placed in your room, please feel free to request our service staff for the same. We do not charge any additional amount for placing a fan or heater in your room.
We do not serve meals at rooms. Guests are requested to take meals only at our restaurant or in garden area.
We do not serve alcohol or any alcoholic products. You may get your own or buy locally.
Barbecue/Bonfire is only permitted in our open area (Agni Restaurant-in the garden). In case of snow & rain, we will not be able to entertain such services.
Smoking in the premises is not allowed. You may request to use parking or our garden area for smoking.
Plucking of flowers/fruits is strictly prohibited in-house or in the surrounding areas of ShivAdya..
Room safes are placed in the almirah of each room to keep your valuables. We are not responsible for any loss or theft of valuables left open & unsecured.
Doing laundry in your room is strictly prohibited. We do have in-house laundry service available.
Footwear must be removed before using the Gupshup room.
Please do not dump waste, tissue papers or anything which may cause of blocking toilet or water channel.
We are an eco-friendly resort and we save the precious resources such as water, electricity and food. We request you to do such deeds. Please turn off the lights & water taps in case of no use and do not waste eatables.
Guests are expected to maintain decorum during stay. Every other in-house guest needs their privacy & wishes to enjoy “A Stay in Serenity” with ShivAdya kind of property which is totally a nature based resort.
During nature walk & village visit, please respect local culture. Also some people don`t like pictures capture by guest/outsider hence it is always a good idea to take permission before taking pictures of any person, local house or any private premises.
Lightning candles or any fire items are strictly not allowed at ShivAdya.
Bathroom amenities are placed once during entire stay. For replenishments please request us.
Any breakage of items or damages in the property shall be paid by guests directly.
We provide meals to drivers but we don`t have accommodation facilities for drivers at ShivAdya. Post COVID parking of only self driven/ self owned vehicles are allowed in property and any taxis would not be allowed overnight parking.
It is considered that you have read and agreed on “House Rules” mentioned above & you will adhere to them. In case any of our in-house guest will found in breaching any rules, ShivAdya Resort & Spa management reserve the right to cancel or amend your stay/booking.
